Deleting your data
You can have your Crime City account and everything attached to it deleted, at any time, for any reason, without giving one. This page says how to ask, what goes, and the few things that cannot go.
Ask us to delete it
Email support@crimecity.fun with the subject “Delete my account”.
Send it from the email address on the account and tell us your in-game alias. That is the whole process — there is no form to fill in.
If your account has no email address on it — a wallet sign-in, or a guest character — open a ticket in our Discord instead, and we will verify the account belongs to you before we delete anything.
We check that the request really comes from the account holder. Someone else asking us to delete your character is an attack, not a privacy request, and the check is what stops it.
What deletes itself
Two things happen without you asking:
- Guest characters are deleted 48 hours after they are created, along with the anonymous account behind them, unless you claim the character by adding an email address, a social sign-in or a wallet.
- Most in-game data is wiped at the end of every season, when the world resets. Chat messages go with it.
What we remove
When we delete your account, all of this goes:
- Your sign-in account — email address, password hash, and any linked Google, Discord, Facebook or wallet identity.
- Your character and its entire history: stats, money, property, gang membership, inventory.
- Your profile: alias, avatar, bio, and the optional fields.
- Your messages, in chat and in the in-game inbox.
- Your sign-in records, including the stored IP addresses and browser details.
- Your analytics profile and your session recordings.
- Your public profile page, which stops being reachable immediately.
What we cannot remove
Three things survive an account deletion. We would rather tell you before you ask than after.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Blockchain transactions | Any $CRIME withdrawal or crypto payment is recorded on the public Solana blockchain. It is permanent and outside anyone’s control — ours, yours, and Solana’s. Deleting your account does not touch it. |
| Payment records | We keep enough of a record of paid transactions to satisfy accounting and anti-fraud rules. It is the minimum required, held apart from the game, and used for nothing else. |
| Season results | Who won each season is the historical record of the game and stays published. On request we will replace your alias there with a placeholder, so the result survives without naming you. |
Search engines may also keep cached copies of public pages for a while after we remove them. We can delete the page; we cannot reach into someone else's index.
How long it takes
We action deletion requests within 30 days and usually much sooner. You will get an email confirming it is done.
Deletion is permanent. A deleted character cannot be restored, its alias is released for someone else to take, and any in-game money, property or unwithdrawn $CRIME balance goes with it. If you hold a $CRIME balance, withdraw it before you ask us to delete the account.
For the full picture of what we hold and why, see the Privacy Policy.
Disconnecting a social account
Removing Crime City from Facebook, Google or Discord stops that provider from sharing anything further with us. It does not delete your Crime City account — for that, email us as above.
If that was the only way you signed in, disconnect it after we confirm the deletion — otherwise you may lock yourself out of the account you are trying to close.
